FAQ

Are JARD triggers legal in South Africa?

JARD triggers are legal in South Africa. They are aftermarket components that improve trigger pull weight and reset, and do not alter the fundamental mechanics of the firearm. As with all firearm modifications, we recommend consulting your local firearms officer if you have any concerns.

Will fitting a JARD trigger affect my firearm licence?

No, installing a JARD trigger does not change the classification of your firearm and should not affect your existing licence. The firearm remains the same make, model, and action type.

Do I need a gunsmith to install a JARD trigger?

While some experienced shooters install triggers themselves, we recommend having a qualified gunsmith perform the installation to ensure safety and optimal performance.

Does JARD offer a warranty on their triggers?

Yes, JARD triggers come with a manufacturer's warranty. As the sole distributor in South Africa, we handle all warranty queries and can facilitate returns or replacements where applicable.

How long does delivery take within South Africa?
